Good Times

On our way... The great mileage we got...true biz!Our happy chauffeur.
Shopping buddies.

Girls one and two reminded me that all my posts of late have not included them. So, here goes! Girl two came home to spend the weekend. She asked her poppy if he would take her shopping like in the old days where he would drive us and then wait in the car reading a book. Sure! he tells her. So after completing our morning chores, my manly man loaded us up in his manly vehicle and off we went. Girl number two bought us lunch to eat on our way. Each of us were able to find a cute top. Girl number one bought us each a new sweater. If you bought one sweater at regular price, you got two free! We could not pass up a deal like that! After climbing back into the manly truck, my manly man asked if he could take us to dinner at, yes, my favorite restaurant, Sweet Tomatoes! We finished out the evening with more shopping. It was just like old time when the girls were little, only this time they were footing the bill, and she who shall not be mentioned was unable to join us.
Thank you for a great day girls!

First Transfer

It sounds like our baby girl is a "daughter" of Mosiah. I am not sure she will want to come home from her mission. She is spreading the good news of the Gospel and is very happy about what she is doing.

She was transferred last week and her new companion trained her MTC companion. She reports they have "personality" and have already taught and baptised a young man.

She also reports that her first area was nice compared to where she is now, but she is on the Lord's errand and is happy to be there.

Please pray for her and the elect people she is teaching.

Sunny Florida

There she is....watching conference!
Can you find her in this picture with all the sisters in her mission?

Sister Johnson and her companion in front of her mom's favorite restaurant... ...Florida, here I come!

Last Day

On or very last day the little one decided we should "walk" to the playground with the stroller. She led the way and up the hill we went.
On the way up the hill. Stopping for a rest on the grass on the way back down.
We returned home to ask grandpa to take us to the playground in the car.

A last ride on the horsey.
See you at the play ground next time we come!

It's October!

...and it's cold! We went to Pymatuning today and forgot it was autumn. Even the fish were sluggish in the very cold water.

Happiness prevailed...
... the two handsome men in my life...

the little princess...
Grandpa helpin her feed the fish...
...watching the seagulls fly away.

The trip up took a little longer than remembered and by the time we were there, we were a little carsick, or I should say the little one was. We fed the fish and birds two loaves of bread, went bowling for seaguls, and were on our way. We stopped at a little produce store with a kids' corn maze, that was fun. We found pumpkins and watermelons - delicious! Then we were on to lunch and a stop at the outlet mall. Another bout of almost carsickness and we were home!

The little one and I took a very long walk up many hills and even to the play ground. We spent the day singing. I had forgotten the magic of singing with small children. They love it and you get to sing the same songs over and over. We even made up new words to the jello song and made up another song all on its own. For those of you who are interested, I will sing it to you in person if you ask.

This One's for You

We woke up to a nice rain falling. As soon as we were ready for the day a window of opportunity opened up and we went back to the park. This time with Grandpa and in the car!

Later we painted beautiful pictures...
...and we played guitar hero singing "Twinkle, Twinkle".

All in all a very playful day!

Up Hill Both Ways to the Playground

It really is true that you could walk to school and home up hill both ways!

This afternoon we went for a walk up the hill. At the top, I inquired a passerby where a park with a playground may be. I had two options, to go back down the hill, turn right and then right again and back up a hill. OR I could continue up the hill turn left twice and go down a hill. As I was going up I decided to continue up hoping it would not be too far.

After 30 minutes most of the way straight up a hill, we got there! Down a slide, bouncing on a sea horse, a long time swinging ("Push me high, again, Grandma!), and bouncing on a horse and it was time to go. So I started back the other way, not really knowing how to get back. After another 30 minutes most of the way straight up hill and a couple of lucky turns, we were home!

Then I could nor find my camera, so off I went back to the park the way I came home. All the way there and all the way back and I could not find my camera.

Later, when I sat down, there was my camera in a room I had not even gone in. Tender mercies surround me! And, I must say that the trip without pushing a stroller was way easier!
