We really do have two granchildren!

Grandma's last chance to cuddle.

Grandpa's baby boy. Bathtime.

Like father like son.

Three generations...my favorite guys.

Thank you Nathan and Katie for a wonderful week!

We Made It!

For those of you who may be wondering, we really made it, finally, to see our grandchildren. It was a most wonderful trip!

Josie taking Grandpa to church.
Posing for Grandma.

This little girl really loves her grandpa.

She loves her baby brother and her mother, too.

Rain is good for playing in.

Umbrellas are good for catching rain.

She really does smile most of the time!

Swinging high in the sky is a favorite activity.

Riding the chipmunk is safer than riding the seahorse...the seahorse has a cocoon under it.

Sliding is fun, too.

Loving baby brother and Grandpa.

Teasing daddy out of a nap.

Pure Grandparent Happiness

I admit it, I did it, I stole this picture right off of Katie's blog!

I am in pure grandma heaven!

I have the most beautiful grandchildren.....ever!

Thank You Secret Elves!

Have you read the story The Elves and the Shoemaker? The shoemaker wakes up each morning to find that the shoes he was working on the day before are finished. Secretly, little elves come out and work hard to help the shoemaker. Well, that very thing happened to me last week. Off we went to the hospital leaving a messy house behind and when we came home it was neat and clean! I immediately called Katie to thank her and she said it was not her. Apparently, elves came while we were gone and spent the morning working.

Real...live...little people!

Thank you!!!

Recipe for summer fun:

Mix together:

60 teenage girls

30 women

4 Priesthood leaders

Add a generous amount of smiles and love and spend a week together.

I spent the last week with these lovely ladies and 60 teenage girls! I had two fantastic assistants and an entourage of hardworking leaders. A big shout out goes to our two cooks who fed over 100 people three yummy meals a day. It was heaven! When the corn bread was placed on the serving table a big hurrah was shouted out and the table was mobbed. One person told me she had waited all year for that cornbread. Just an example of how very good we were fed. We hiked and paddled, laughed and sang, certified and crafted, ate and drank (lots of water), but most of all we felt the spirit in everything we did and said. Little miracles and giant miracles occurred. All in all it was the best camp yet.
